Adani Total Gas planning to Expand its City Gas Distribution Network

News Synopsis

Adani Total Gas Ltd, a joint venture between Adani Group and TotalEnergies has received the license to expand its City Gas Distribution network to 14 new geographical areas. It won the license in the recent 11th round of CGD bidding by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board.

The company will invest Rs 12,000 crore in the additional sector, increasing its services in the clean energy sector. Its total commitment in the clean energy sector will go up to Rs 20,000 crore with its fresh investment. 

The gas distribution network of the company currently serves 52 geographical areas, covering 124 districts in 18 states and 3 Union Territories. The CEO of the ATGL, Suresh Manglani has said that the company will serve 10% of the country’s population with cleaner fuel for households and for transportation as well, playing an essential role in meeting the clean energy needs of India.
