Acsia Technologies to Provide Infotainment Solution for BMW

News Synopsis

Acsia Technologies, a Technopark-based automotive software company, has been selected as a software development provider by Garmin, a global provider of GPS-enabled products, to develop infotainment systems for German car giant BMW. Acsia will work with German-based company AOX Technologies to develop BMW's infotainment system.

A statement issued by the company said that it has signed a contract with Garmin and will place its engineers in Germany. The software development work will be done at Acsia's delivery center in Thiruvananthapuram. Acsia Technologies CEO Jijimon Chandran said that the company was selected after a long evaluation process. He said that Acsia was one of the very few Indian companies to undertake a major automotive software project for German car makers.

Chandran said, “With this collaboration, we will further strengthen our hold in the global automotive sector. Through this project, Acsia’s engineers and up-and-coming engineering talent in this part of the world, engineering talent, will become a world-class automotive brand World Class. Will have the opportunity to work with Automotive Brands. Thanks to the Garmin management for choosing Acsia and we look forward to a deeper association in the future."
