News Synopsis

Edtech startup, Vedantu in a bid to enhance its presence is planning to launch offline learning centers along with the existing online learning platform. However, the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the online education platform, Vamsi Krishna informed that the company is still at an early stage with the plan and right now is discussing how to take it forward with his team. He said: “Since now the offline has also opened up, we are also exploring interesting options around hybrid models and stuff like that. Those are still in the experimental stage and we will see where we will land up with that… Imagine a centre offline where the child goes but there is a lot of technology and they can study in the combination of online and offline.” Other major edtech companies such as Unacademy and Byjus have already launched their offline learning centers. Last month, Unacademy inaugurated its first offline center. Vedantu was founded in the year 2014 by Vamsi Krishna, Pulkit Jain, Anand Prakash, and Saurabh Saxena. It was India’s fourth billion-dollar edtech firm. Recently, Vedantu launched an immersive live platform W.A.V.E 2.0 (Whiteboard Audio Video Environment).
