News Synopsis

As part of its intentions to run a fleet of four aircraft by next year, all-cargo airline Pradhaan Air Express has acquired its first modified A320 freighter aircraft, according to the firm. The Delhi-based freight carrier received the no-objection permit to launch a cargo carrier earlier this month from the Civil Aviation Ministry. Additionally, it had stated that the airline will launch operations by this year.

According to a statement released by the airline on Sunday, Pradhaan Air's first converted A320 cargo aircraft, dubbed "Pehalwan," touched down at Delhi Airport on Saturday evening. Domestic shippers and freight forwarders will be able to charter the cargo plane with a 21-ton payload capacity and a fully palletized main deck for both domestic and international flights.

According to the firm, the modified freighter will also be accessible for on-demand cargo charters.

"The arrival of the aircraft completes another crucial stage and moves us one step closer to receiving our Air Operator Permit, which will enable us to launch the commercial operations very soon. We anticipate maintaining the positive trend and pursuing additional fleet expansion "the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Pradhaan Air Express, Nipun Anand, remarked By year's end, the airline is anticipated to take delivery of the second A320 P2F (passenger aircraft to freighter), and further fleet expansion is being considered, he added.

By the end of the next year, the airline also plans to add two A321 freighters to its fleet, according to Anand. Pradhaan Air Express is advancing toward harnessing the expansion in the air cargo market, which has recovered after the pandemic, with this significant achievement, the airline said.
