‘Dosti’ Bus Service, To Be Resumed After 5 Years

News Synopsis

Pakistan and Afghanistan have decided to resume the bus service between the two countries, called ‘Dosti’. The bus service start working once again in 2022. The decision was taken by the interim foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi during his recent visit. The bus service will resume from Peshawar to Jalalabad in Afghanistan. 

It was previous;y dismissed in 2016. According to the reports, the bus service will help the pedestrians for the border crossing will facilitate the civilians living near or in Jalalabad. Another bus service similar to this one is also proposed to start from Balochistan. The issues regarding any problems are addressed and the bus service will resume from early 2022. 

Pakistan has recently facilitated the movement of Afghan students and taking these welcoming gestures, the Afghan delegation has abolished the taxes on fresh fruits and the import of wheat from India and Pakistan.
