Since the Xiaomi Smart Glasses are a concept product Xiaomi has not specified when they would be launched. Sesame seed-sized MicroLED display hidden in the frame is used in Xiaomi's exploration version of smart glasses which also according to the introduction is using MicroLED light waveguide technology. Through an advanced light waveguide lens the light is able to achieve spatial transfer causing the image to jump in front of the mobile screen. This allows the smart glasses to achieve technological advances with the entire device balancing only 51g and supporting calls, displays, navigation, photography, and translation.

The Xiaomi Smart Glasses Explorer Edition presented previously unheard-of problems with the display and stacking in order to achieve a look closer to that of regular glasses. In order to do this the trying-to-cut MicroLED display technology was selected. The display is the size of a sesame seed and is perfectly hidden within the frame.

The display is a more effective pure green display solution that can run at a brightness of 2 million units to maintain the light bright enough until it eventually reaches the human eye through the complex optical structure. Although self-emitting like OLEDs the use of inorganic material life is higher.

A black technology that allows the 180-degree movement of light is optical waveguide technology. Through the micro grating structure of the optical waveguide lens, the MicroLED screen picture masked in the glasses frame is regularly reflected and dispersed before being accurately sent to the human eye.

The inner surface of the lens's lenticular structure which allows for complete reflecting of light specifically focuses light toward the human eye. The wearing tolerance is substantially increased since the reflection process is followed by many simultaneous light diffusions that enable the human eye to view the picture from the full lenticular area.

Xiaomi the world's leading technology company today unveiled a fresh new smart wearable gadget. Through MicroLED optical waveguide technology, Xiaomi Smart Spectacles can combine imaging systems and sensors into a subtle conventional glasses style. Xiaomi Smart Glasses can show messages and notifications, make calls, navigate, snap photographs, and translate text all in front of your eyes. The new smart glasses almost have all the features you get in any smart device. It has a camera, voice control, and many other features.

Not only this along with having so many features it is very light as well weighing only 51 grams. The display chip in Xiaomi Smart Glasses is just 2.4mm x 2.02mm. The display is very small with individual pixels measuring 4m allowing it to fit precisely within the frame of the spectacles. The ultra-efficient monochrome display system is attached with a peak brightness of 2 million units to allow enough light to flow through intricate optical structures before reaching the eye, even in harsh direct sunlight.

MicroLED is without a doubt the best option for integrating the imaging equipment within the frame. MicroLED pixels are independently illuminated similar to OLED pixels, and their emissive feature enables brighter displays and deeper blacks. MicroLEDs on the other hand have a simpler structure and a higher pixel density as well as a longer lifespan.
