News Synopsis

The first-ever message of the World has been sold as a non-fungible token for $149,729 at an auction in Paris. The message was sent to Richard Jarvis then director of telecommunications company Vodafone by a British programmer Neil Papworth from his computer on December 3, 1992.

The NFT is a replica of the original communication protocol that transmitted the SMS. The unknown buyer will pay in Ether, the cryptocurrency. NFT or non-fungible token is one of a kind of token. Virtual art became the mainstream ever since the first NFT artwork was sold for $69,346,250 in an online auction.
