Wipro Infrastructure Engineering Acquires Pune-Based Linecraft.ai

On Thursday,  Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, a Wipro Enterprises entity, announced it is acquiring the industrial automation business of Pune-based Linecraft.ai for an undisclosed sum.

To enable manufacturers to increase production and improve operational efficiency in real-time, Linecraft.ai combines the strength of automation domain expertise with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

According to Pratik Kumar, CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, "This acquisition will further help us expand our digital capabilities and offer turnkey automation solutions with a bolt-on digital layer which provides deep insights and analytics to customers,"

A team of engineers and AI and ML experts created the Linecraft.ai software using a patented method.

After acquiring a significant player in industrial automation, PARI, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering stated that this purchase represents an important milestone in the group's strategic expansion in the digital sector.

According to G Sundararaman, Co-CEO of Wipro PARI, "Linecraft.ai software helps our customers to identify bottleneck operations in a complex manufacturing environment,

Kumar asserts that the patented technology significantly improves the value proposition for the customer by collecting and analysing vast amounts of data from industrial machinery and recommending ways to increase efficiency using AI and ML.

In more than 75 different countries, the Wipro PARI entity's industrial automation vertical has installed more than 1,500 automated systems.
