Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte Highest Paid in Indian IT Sector

Thierry Delaporte of Wipro has become the highest-paid CEO in the Indian IT Sector. Thierry Delaporte, CEO of software company Wipro, was given a salary of Rs 64 crore in the last financial year and has become the highest-paid CEO in the Indian IT industry. 

Thierry Delaporte is followed by the CEOs of TCS and Infosys. Delaporte took over the reins of Wipro in July last year. His salary includes a salary of Rs 9.6 crore, a commission of Rs 11.2 crore, Rs 5.5 crore as long-term compensation, and other income of Rs 37.81 crore. As the CEO of the company, he was offered an annual package of Rs 37.9 crore as well as stock compensation and other benefits. 

Giving information in Regulatory Filing, Wipro has said, "Delaport's package is for the period from July last year to March this year. It includes lump sum cash reward, annual stock grant, and lump-sum RSU. At the same time, the company's chairman Rishad Premji was paid Rs 11.76 crore in the last financial year and Rs 7.43 crore to CFO Jatin Dalal.
