WhatsApp to give Users More Control over Messages

WhatsApp recently announced that it will give its customers more control over the time for which they want the message to be visible. The new feature will allow the users to set a duration after which the message will disappear. It is an optional feature and does not change or delete any of the existing chats of the user. 

Another feature is also being added to the application which includes two fixed durations for the disappearing of the messages. It adds up the time period of 24 hours and 90 days along with the previous option of seven days. The users can access the new feature by going into the Privacy Settings and selecting the Default Message Timer. The users can also create a backup for the disappearing messages.
