WhatsApp to add a Limit to Backups on Google Drive

WhatsApp users will not be able to enjoy unlimited backups on Google Drive. Currently, there is no limit on the size of the chats and media that a user can back up on Google Drive. But, Google is planning to put a limit on the use for WhatsApp users on Android.

Users will receive a notification when their chat backup will reach the Google Drive storage limit. The new changes are clearly mentioned in the WABetaInfo version of the application. The limit or how much storage will the users receive is still not confirmed. The process of restoring the chats when switching the phone is very convenient for users.

Google is already providing free storage for Google Photos. It provides users with 15 GB of free storage for everyone. Users need to purchase additional storage and it is believed that the same will take place for WhatsApp as well.
