News Synopsis

WhatsApp has introduced a new extension to add security to its web app. According to reports, this extension is called Code Verify, and its sole purpose is to confirm that the web version of the instant messaging application is secure enough and end-to-end encryption is not compromised.

According to the meta platform, the web app is naturally less resistant to attacks.  Code Varify guarantees the same security as native apps on Windows, iOS, or Android.

In a blog post, WhatsApp states that Code Verify will work with Cloudflare, a web infrastructure and security company, to provide independent, transparent, third-party validation of the code provided by WhatsApp Web. I hope you can rest assured. "

No other end-to-end encrypted messaging service offers this level of security to people communicating over the Internet. WhatsApp Web code verifies is also being offered as open-source for use with other services.
