WhatsApp Introduces a New Feature, ‘Businesses Nearby’

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature, Businesses Nearby. It will help the users to search the nearby businesses through WhatsApp only. WeBetaInfo has also announced to bring out an update for the feature where the user will be able to look for the nearby restaurants, apparel and clothing stores, and more.

The feature will appear as a new section on WhatsApp, whenever the user will search for something. The user would need to select any one of the categories from the section and the related results will come up on the screen. It is yet not clear if the users can order directly from WhatsApp or not.

WhatsApp has not made any announcement about when the new feature will be launched. The screenshot shared by WABetaInfo is of a Beta for Android and it is believed that the same feature will be available for iOS users as well.

The feature will be available for the users of the WhatsApp Business Directory feature, which is only available for users in San Paulo, Brazil. WhatsApp has made no announcement on when this feature will be available for everyone. The availability of the WhatsApp Business Directory will make the use of Businesses Nearby more efficient and easy.
