News Synopsis

VinFast has significantly strengthened its electric two-wheeler strategy by launching four new electric scooters and aggressively expanding its battery swap infrastructure. The Vietnamese EV brand aims to make electric mobility more convenient and affordable by eliminating long charging times and offering flexible ownership benefits, especially for young and urban riders.

VinFast Launches 4 New Electric Scooters

VinFast has reinforced its presence in the electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of four new electric scooters, while simultaneously scaling up what is being described as the largest battery swap network in the segment. The company has confirmed that 4,500 battery swap stations are already operational.

VinFast plans to deploy nearly 45,000 battery swap cabinets across 34 provinces and cities by the end of Q1 2026. Once fully established, the network is expected to outnumber traditional fuel stations, allowing riders to swap depleted batteries in just a few minutes instead of waiting for them to charge.

Focus on Young and Urban Riders

Along with strengthening its ecosystem, VinFast has introduced three battery swap–compatible electric scooters – Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. Each model has been designed to meet different usage needs.

Additionally, VinFast has launched Amio, a pedal-assisted electric scooter that does not require a driving licence. This lightweight scooter is aimed primarily at young users who need a convenient solution for short-distance urban commuting.

Viper: The Most Premium Electric Scooter

Advanced Design and Technology

The Viper is the most premium model in the new lineup, featuring major upgrades in both design and technology. It comes with a newly developed chassis, LED projector headlamp, and a smart key system that enables vehicle tracking, remote search, and theft protection.

Performance and Ride Quality

To improve ride comfort, the scooter is equipped with dual rear shock absorbers with an external oil reservoir. Powering the Viper is a 3,000 W BLDC in-hub motor, allowing it to reach a top speed of up to 70 kmph.

Feliz II and Evo: Performance-Oriented Options

The Feliz II offers similar motor and performance specifications to the Viper, making it a strong mid-premium option.

The Evo, on the other hand, uses a 2,450 W in-hub motor and delivers competitive performance. Both scooters achieve nearly similar top speeds, catering to riders seeking a balance of efficiency and power.

Evo Lite: Licence-Free Electric Mobility

For users looking for a simpler and regulation-friendly option, VinFast has introduced the Evo Lite. With a top speed below 50 kmph, this model does not require a driving licence, making it suitable for beginners and everyday city riders.

Dual Under-Seat Battery System and Range

Battery Technology

All three battery swap scooters feature dual under-seat battery slots, using 1.5 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries, known for their durability and improved thermal safety.

Driving Range

  • Evo: Up to 165 km with two fully charged batteries

  • Viper and Feliz II: Up to 156 km under standard riding conditions

To attract early buyers, VinFast has opened advance bookings for the Evo range and announced several promotional offers in its domestic market.

Zero Down Payment and Special Ownership Benefits

Introductory Offers

VinFast is offering multiple incentives, including:

  • Zero down payment purchase plans

  • Limited-time price discounts

  • Free battery swapping for the initial months

  • Free access to public charging stations until mid-2027

These benefits aim to reduce the overall cost of ownership and accelerate the adoption of electric scooters.
