News Synopsis

An Indian-American led artificial intelligence startup in Silicon Valley announced on Wednesday that it has raised $200 million so far and added key members to its leadership team.

Vianai System, a human-centric AI platform and product company founded by Indian American Vishal Sikka, also worked to expand its executive team. He appointed Dr Navin Budhiraja as Chief Technology Officer and Dean Germeyer as Chief Revenue Officer.

The newly appointed team members include Shabana Khan, who has been appointed Marketing Officer, and Pradeep Panicker, who has assumed responsibility as Chief Financial Officer.

Vianai is one of Silicon Valley's fastest-growing artificial intelligence (AI) startups. It has raised $200 million in the last two rounds and was funded by SoftBank's Vision Fund in the final round.

Human-centric AI delivers an AI vision for the amplification of human intelligence, combining human judgment with the best AI technology to drive transformative business outcomes, Sikka said in a press release.

It further added that the need for a more human-centric approach to AI is rapidly increasing as many companies struggle to maximize the potential of  AI investment.
