News Synopsis

US Justice Department to review Police response to Texas School Shooting and will also publish a report of the findings. US Department of Justice spokesman Anthony Coley said, “At the request of Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin, the US Department of Justice will conduct a Critical Incident Review of the law enforcement response to the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24.”

This comes because local police were put under surveillance after a mass shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers. On Friday, Texas Public Safety Director Stephen McCraw said the case commander's decision not to enroll in Uvalde School after the shooting and to wait for the tactical team was wrong.

"It was decided that this was a barricade situation. We had time to pull the kids back and wait for the tactical team to move their gear, break through the door and handle the problem at that point." McCraw said during a press conference.

Earlier, Joe Biden condemned students for attacking, and gun law couldn't prevent all tragedies, but they were positive as mass shootings tripled after the ban on offensive weapons ended.
