News Synopsis

The gross domestic product of the United Kingdom is higher than it was before than pandemic. According to the Office for National Statistics the GDP of the United Kingdom rose 0.9% in November.

The GDP of the United Kingdom went up to 0.7% in February 2020, before the pandemic started. However, the Omicron variant once again hit the country in December last year, after which once again new restrictions were imposed.

The construction posted growth of 3.5% and the manufacturing sector posted growth of 1.1% in November. The retail sector also helped in expanding the services. The pound rose after the figures were released.
