News Synopsis

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has stated that the company plans to roll out encryption, the ability to reply to individual direct messages (DMs), and other features later this month.

"Aiming to roll out ability to reply to individual DMs, use any reaction emoji & encryption later this month,"  he tweeted.

On Musk's post, a number of users commented.

Great updates that will help conversations flow more smoothly. Particularly looking forward to variety of reaction emoji's... it's the little things," A user made a comment.

"Excellent. Chat encryption is especially a must-have," a different user said.

The "unsend" feature for direct messages was also requested by a user, who also commended Musk's efforts in bringing the new features to the platform.

"That's great. Could you also look into possibly implementing an "unsend" feature for DMs?".

Musk stated in February that users would have the option to change the algorithm to their "closer match" in the "coming months" on the microblogging platform.

According to the microblogging platform, users will be alerted whenever a Community Note appears on a Tweet they have liked, retweeted, or commented on.

Using the @CommunityNotes account, the company tweeted:  "Starting today, you'll get a heads up if a Community Note starts showing on a Tweet you've replied to, Liked, or Retweeted. This helps give people extra context that they might otherwise miss."
