Tork Kratos: Delivery Of This Indigenous Electric Bike Begins In Mumbai

Tork Motors, a Pune-based electric two-wheeler start-up, has started the deliveries of its electric motorcycle in Mumbai. The company launched the all-new Tork Kratos and Kratos R electric motorcycles in January this year. Their prices are Rs 1.22 lakh and Rs 1.37 lakh respectively, ex-showroom Maharashtra. These electric motorcycles can be booked on the company's official website.

The deliveries of Tork Motors' electric motorcycles started in Pune in July this year, which was three months late due to supply chain crisis. Now, the company has started the deliveries in the financial capital of India as well. “The festival of lights deliveries have been launched to celebrate the evolving landscape of festive sustainable e-mobility,” the EV manufacturer said in a statement.

The Tork Kratos electric motorcycle gets an IP67-rated 4 Kwh lithium-ion battery pack with a system voltage of 48V. It has an IDC range of 180 km while the real-world range is 120 km. The top speed of this bike is 100 kmph. It gets an axial flux type electric motor with a maximum power of 7.5 kW and maximum torque of 28 Nm. The company claims that this bike achieves an initial speed of 0 to 40 kmph in 4 seconds. While the high-spec Kratos R gets a more powerful motor that delivers 9.0 kW of power and 38 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 105 kmph as compared to the standard model.

The Tork Kratos electric bike packs an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack that comes in an aluminum alloy casing to ensure water damage protection. Kratos will come with a fast charging system that will charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just one hour. However, the facility of fast charging is provided only in the Kratos R motorcycle. It will also get some other additional connectivity features. It has been made available with features like geofencing, find my vehicle feature, motor walk assist, crash alert, vacation mode, track mode analysis as well as smart charge analysis.
