The largest business in the world by market value, Apple Inc., opened its first India store in Mumbai on Tuesday as it accelerates its diversification outside of China.

At 11 a.m., Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook threw open the JioWorldDrive at the Bandra-Kurla Complex doors. Apple fans had begun forming a line outside the store hours earlier.

It's the first of two stores Apple will establish in the nation; the second, in Delhi's Saket, will be opening on April 20.

CEO Tim Cook and Deirdre O'Brien, senior vice president (retail and people) of the Cupertino, California-based company, threw open the doors to thronging throngs.

Several hours before Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook was set to open the JioWorldDrive location in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, there was a line of customers waiting outside the store.

Cook has flown in to inaugurate the two stores in India, highlighting the significance of the country's market for Apple. The second store will open in Delhi's Saket on April 200.

Monday saw Cook making a visit to the BKC Apple store.

The CEO of the most valuable corporation in the world, Cook, also paid a visit to Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd. Cook was sent off by Ambani scion Akash Ambani as he departed Antilia.

After completing his schedule for the day, Cook met with Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit Nene. The Apple CEO tried Vada Pav, a famous food in Mumbai, for the first time when the two of them sat down to eat.

India has replaced China as the market where Apple sells its iPhones. According to a  report, the American corporation currently manufactures approximately 7% of its iPhones in India with the help of partners like Foxconn Technology Group and Pegatron Corp. Comparatively, this to 1% in 2021. Apple is expanding its business in India utilising the lessons it learned in China.

The business tripled output in the world's fastest-growing smartphone market by assembling more than $7 billion worth of iPhones in India over the previous fiscal year.
