Russia has been escalating its invasion of Ukraine with each passing day. It is going all aggressive on its neighbor. A few days back it captured Europe’s biggest Nuclear Power Plant located in Ukraine. Western Alliance in return has imposed severe economic sanctions on Russia. Not only the governments of the world, but several global tech companies are also contributing in helping war affected Ukraine. Elon Musk’s Starlink services enabled Ukrainian citizens to have access to the internet. Apple has halted its sale in Russia. It has also limited its digital services in Russia such as Apple Pay. It also removed RT and Sputnik app from its app store. Microsoft is keeping a watchful eye on Russian hacking threats. Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube have restricted Russia to run its ads on their platforms. They have also limited state agencies to run campaigns on their platforms. Google in a bid to save the Ukrainians citizens has disabled the live traffic feature on Google Maps so that Russian officials couldn't tack them down in real time. Video streaming platform Netflix has removed all Russian channels and shows from its platform.
