The LinksDAO Sold Out its Membership for $11 Million to Buy a Real-World Golf Course

The LinksDAO has raised $11 million in the ether in order to buy and operate a real-world golf course for its new members. The LinksDAO has sold its NFT membership worth 9,000 raising around 3,109 ether, which are worth $11.7 million. 

DAOs have been struggling for the past few months due to the crypto world’s model for crowdfunding. ConstitutionDAO also failed to buy a 235-year-old copy of the US constitution in November last year. 

But LinksDAO has stated that the goal seems more attainable than ConstitutionDAO. The DAO sold 6,363 Leisure Membership NFTs for 0.18 ether and 2,727 Global Membership NFTs for 0.72 ether.

The membership gives several rights to its holders, including membership at the first physical club acquired by DAO, and the governance rights with the use of the $LINKS token that will be launched in early 2022.

The plan includes purchasing a golf course in 2022 and start operating it for the community by late 2022 or early 2023. It also hopes to have an expansion in the future and create a global membership network of its golf course.
