News Synopsis

A tech founder, Dan O'Dowd, CEO of Green Hills Software took out a full-page advertisement in the New York Times accusing Tesla’s Full Self Driving technology as the worst software ever sold by Fortune 500 company.

The individual placed the ad under the auspices of the Dawn Project, a pressure group, as part of a campaign to ban self-driving technology. Tesla CEO has tweeted that Green Hills Software is a pile of trash.

FSD is controversial and critics say that the name is deceptive to the technology. FSD is an additional option in the driving system that enables the car to automatically change the lanes, enter and exit highways, recognise stop signs, traffic lights, and park. The company has asked the drivers to pay full attention while using the FSD beta as it does not make cars fully autonomous. Earlier this month, CEO Elon Musk has announced that Tesla is planning to hike the prices of FSD from $10,000 to $12,000.
