Recently reappointed chairman of TATA Sons, N Chandrasekaran said that TATAS will make Air India financially fit, upgrade aircraft, bring in a new fleet and make it the most technologically advanced airline worldwide.  He was virtually addressing the employees of Air India. Recently former Turkish airline chairman, Ilker Ayci was appointed as the new chief executive officer of the airline. N Chandrasekaran said that together will their commitment, dedication, and will power they will take AIR India to new heights. He said: "From the day of the announcement, one word has been on everyone's lips: homecoming. We are proud to welcome Air India back to the Tata family, after all these years." Last year Tata Group acquired the former national carrier and a day after republic day it was completely handed over to the Tata group.
