News Synopsis

Tata Motors has introduced the updated 2025 models of the Tiago and Tiago EV in India, ahead of their showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. These launches come with significant updates to both models, with the Tiago receiving major enhancements after almost four years.

Pricing Details of Tiago:

The ex-showroom prices for the Tata Tiago begin at Rs 5 lakh, with the top variant priced at Rs 7.20 lakh. For the Tiago iCNG variant, buyers will pay Rs 1 lakh more than the petrol version, with prices starting at Rs 6 lakh and topping out at Rs 8.20 lakh. On the other hand, the Tata Tiago EV starts at Rs 7.99 lakh and can go up to Rs 11.14 lakh.

Major Updates to the Tiago:

After nearly four years since its last major update in 2020, the Tata Tiago has returned with several fresh features in its 2025 model. The Tiago, which was updated with Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy during its last iteration, now comes with upgraded tech and new features across its trim levels.

The updated Tiago is available in five primary trims: XE, XM, XT, XZ, and XZ Plus, while the Tiago NRG cross-hatch variant is based on the XZ trim. Additionally, the Tiago iCNG variant comes in XE, XM, XT, and XZ trims, with the NRG iCNG available in the XZ trim. The Tata Tiago EV is available in three variants: XE, XT, and XZ Plus.

New Technology and Premium Features:

The Tata Tiago 2025 model introduces several advanced features to make it more attractive and modern. Among the most notable updates is the inclusion of a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Tiago also gets LED headlights, a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo (inspired by the Nexon), and a new digital instrument cluster.

The Tiago EV will also feature these enhancements in its top-spec variant, in addition to a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and cruise control for an elevated driving experience.

Familiar Engine Options:

The Tata Tiago continues with its familiar powertrain options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. Meanwhile, the Tiago EV retains its existing battery and motor configurations, which have been well-received for their efficiency and performance.

Focus on Electric Vehicles:

Tata Motors is clearly placing an increasing emphasis on electric vehicles, with the launch of the Tiago EV alongside the Tiago petrol and iCNG variants. The company plans to showcase not only the 2025 Tiago models but also other notable electric vehicles such as the production-ready Tata Harrier EV and Tata Sierra EV at the Tata Motors pavilion during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Conclusion:

With the launch of the updated Tata Tiago and Tata Tiago EV, Tata Motors is strengthening its commitment to providing a wide range of affordable, tech-rich, and sustainable vehicles. The focus on electric vehicles aligns with the global push towards greener mobility solutions, and the updates to the Tiago and Tiago EV show Tata Motors' dedication to offering modern, feature-packed cars that meet the needs of today’s consumers.
