News Synopsis

Leading EV charging solutions provider Tata Power said on Friday that it has begun a national strategy to install 25,000 EV charging stations around the nation in order to enable a quicker uptake of e-mobility over the following five years.

The company is exhibiting a variety of cutting-edge electric car charging solutions at the current 3 ">Auto Expo in Greater Noida in 2023.

According to a statement from the company, guests had a first-hand look at the technology that powers Tata Power's extensive EV charging network, EZ Charge, including one of the most downloaded mobile apps for EV charging, Tata Power EZ Charge.

According to Tata Power, the app assists commuters with a variety of tasks including locating the nearest charging station, knowing the status of charging stations in real time and receiving information on charging.

Additionally, the business claimed that information on its Network Operations Center (NOC) was visible. In India, the Center aids in the efficient operational management of charging stations.

The company said it offers over 3,600 public or semi-public chargers and more than 23,500 residential chargers due to its extensive presence in the EV charging industry. Many of these charging stations, according to Tata Motors, are also equipped with fast-charging technology and are placed in a variety of key places, including shopping malls, hotels, airports, and office spaces.

With real-time communication with all on-board chargers and integration with the online platform that supports Tata Power's EZ Charge services, NOC assists in the early discovery of technological problems. Along with speedy problem-solving, proactive planning for chargeable infrastructure maintenance, and back-end system support, the NOC also provides these services.

Tata Power further claimed that it has been at the forefront of offering EV charging solutions throughout the entire nation, with solutions for fleet stations, homes, offices, public spaces, and commercial intersections like e-bus charging depots.

Tata Power's Virendra Goyal, head of business development for EV charging, stated:  "The demand for electric vehicles is steadily increasing in India therefore it is important to have a robust pan-India charging network."

According to him, the business is thrilled to introduce the goods and innovations that would position Tata Power as the top provider of EV charging solutions in India. "We remain committed to playing a prominent role in helping Indian consumers consider sustainable mobility in the future," he continued.

The National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), which aims to develop an electric vehicle charging infrastructure using the most recent technological platform and provide simple access to charging points for electric vehicles, is in line with Tata Power's EV charging initiatives, according to the company.

Tata Power's EV charging network is wide, including not only the Delhi-National Capital Region but also Mumbai, Goa, Surat, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru, among other cities, it continued.
