On Thursday, in a press statement,  Tata Digital’s chief executive officer (CEO) Pratik Pal informed that Tata Group’s Super App Tata Neu has been downloaded over 2.2 million times since its launch last week. This press conference was held by Tata Digital to formally introduce their latest super app, Tata New. It was launched on April 7, 2022. Mr. Pal told that Tata Neu has received 2.2 million enrollments and saw a “significant” number of transactions since its launch. He further went on to inform that the users are shopping across various categories on the Tata Neu app. The strong offline presence of Tata Group is also going to benefit Tata Neu.

Mr. Pal, at the launch of the app, said that the Tata Neu began with a cumulative consumer base of 120 million users and 2,500 offline stores, along with an 80 million app footprint across its digital assets. Earlier this week, N Chandrasekaran, the chairperson of Tata Digital informed that Tata Neu has been in making for the last two years. However, he denied all media reports that the launch of Tata Neu has been delayed. He said, “We were calibrating it along the way and we came out at the right time.” Tata Group owns various retail brands such as BigBasket, 1mg, Croma, AirAsia, Indian Hotel Company Limited (IHCL), Qmin, Starbucks, Tata Cliq, Tata Play, Westside, Titan, Tanishq, Tata Motors, and Vistara. All the services of these brands will be available on Tata Neu. The company is also aiming to collaborate with external brands to enhance their offerings too.
