News Synopsis

On Friday, the Japanese automobile company, Honda Motors announced that its new President and CEO, Takuya Tsumura, has taken charge of his new role. As a part of the organizational changes, the carmaker has also promoted Kunal Behl from Operating Head - Sales and Network Development to Vice President, Marketing and Sales. Now he will be leading the sales and marketing of Honda and will assist CEO Yuichi Murata, Director - Marketing and Sales. Tsumara has been with Honda for more than three decades. He has an extensive and rich experience in the automobile industry and has worked in several international markets, including Thailand, Australia, China, Japan, Turkey. On the other hand, Kunal Behl has been associated with Honda since 2002. He has headed several important functions, including Field Sales, Network Development, Sales Planning, Exports, and New business development. Recently, the Japanese carmaker announced its last month's sales in India. To the company’s disappointment, its sales in March declined by 7% compared to sales it registered in March 2021. It sold 6,589 units in the domestic market in March 2022.
