A bench comprising Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Surya Kant has told Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Aishwarya Bhati to take a clear judgement on Bitcoin.

The bench heard Ajay Bhardwaj's plea against the Union of India. Bhati has filed with the bank that the proceedings involved 87,000 Bitcoins, the defendant did not cooperate in the investigation, even after several summons had been issued so far.

The bank said the IO would submit a status report showing the defendant's cooperation and prepare the issue for another trial four weeks later. The bank added that the injunction to arrest the defendant would continue until the next hearing.
