Stock Market Fall After RBI's Decision

The Indian Stock Market has been witnessing ups and downs for the past several days. Once again, on the third trading day of the week, the stock market saw a slight decline even before the results of the RBI's MPC meeting were out on Wednesday.

The repo rate of the Reserve Bank of India increased further after the announcement of an increase in the repo rate. At the end of trading, the 30-share Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange slipped 215 points to close at 54,892 level. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange slipped 60 points to close at 16,356. Earlier, the Sensex opened with a jump of more than 200 points.

Talking about the last trading session, the 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange lost 568 points and closed at 55,107, while the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange slipped 153 points to closed at the level of 16,416. It is worth noting that the repo rate of India's central bank RBI has been increased by 50 basis points.
