Sterlite Technologies commits to become Carbon-neutral by 2030

News Synopsis

The Indian multinational technology company, Sterlite Technologies has announced that it plans to become carbon neutral by 2030. The company is accelerating its efforts towards having net-zero manufacturing and sustainable network build strategies, as it drives digital networks of the future.

STL has formed a 20-year roadmap in order to deliver its commitment towards the sustainability and social goals of the company. It is also aiming to create digital networks which are green and sustainable.

Sterlite is the first company to get eZero Waste Landfill certification for its manufacturing units in India. The company has also been sourcing sustainable raw materials for packaging, transitioning to a green supply chain. 

It has also recycled more than 1,41,000 m3 of water at its manufacturing facilities along with harvesting 4,000+ m3 with the help of rainwater harvesting structures. STL plans to be 100% water positive on all its manufacturing units.
