Spider-Man: No Way Home becomes the Highest-grossing Film of 2021

Spider-Man: No Way Home, the latest installment of the Spider-Man franchise has become the first pandemic-era movie to have more than $1 Billion at the Global Box office, with the title of the highest-grossing film of 2021. Ever since the pandemic begin, no Hollywood or any other movie came across this box office milestone.

The film has reached $1.05 Billion, in less than two weeks of its release even after the rapid spread of the omicron variant of Covid-19 around the world. 

Spider-man: No Way Home is the third edition in its 2019 franchise is also the first Spider-Man movie to have a $1 billion mark at the box office. The 2019 franchise is a collaboration between Disney’s Marvel Studios and Sony, which came after Disney, Marvel Studios, and Sony agreed to share the film rights for Spider-Man.

Earlier to this, MGM’s latest edition to James Bond franchise, No Time to Die was the highest-grossing Hollywood movie of 2021 and the pandemic era.
