According to its website, the airline has 91 aircraft, 13 of which are Max and 46 are older versions of Boeing 737 aircraft.

In an email to employees commemorating the airline's 17th anniversary, Singh said the airline continues to fly at the highest load factor month-on-month and expects to increase further in the coming months.

The cargo subsidiary of the company SpiceXpress is also planning to add a substantial number of freighter aircraft to further strengthen and consolidate its leadership position in the industry, the CMD said. SpiceJet's route network is also expanding, with unique and exciting new destinations in India and around the world, CMD said.

He said that SpiceJet has been specially recognized for the stellar role it has played in serving the country throughout the covid crisis. He also claimed to have transported more than 1,00,000 oxygen concentrators to India when they were most required. It was also the first and the largest transporter of Covid vaccines in the country.
