Shared Electric Mobility Startup 'Yulu' Launches E-scooter For Private Ownership

A shared electric mobility-as-a-service company called Yulu said on Friday that bookings for its first personal electric two-wheeler, the Yulu Wynn, are now open to individual purchasers.

Yulu Wynn is available at a special introductory rate of Rs 55,555, and online bookings may be made for Rs 999. The first deliveries will start in mid-May. Wynn will be offered after the promotional period for Rs 59,999.

It's the First Electric Two-Wheeler for Simple Mobility in India, and it disrupts the whole ownership experience in addition to providing a smart commuting choice. It is a highly alluring product that will cause people to halt, reconsider, and alter their decisions about mobility. Everyone will be able to "Ride their freedom" at Wynn, according to Amit Gupta Co-Founder and CEO of Yulu.

Gupta recently disclosed to Moneycontrol that the business will soon introduce e-bikes for individual ownership.

According to the statement, Wynn's Mobility Subscription Packs, which lower the initial price of ownership by 40%, enable people to experience ownership.

It comes with a swappable battery that can be changed at any battery switch station on the Yuma Energy Network a joint venture between Yulu & Magna, in less than a minute. A Portable Charger that may be purchased as an attachment can also be used to charge the battery at home, according to the statement.

Yulu's bikes will be produced by Bajaj Auto.

Yulu secured $82 million in its Series B fundraising round, which was spearheaded by Magna International Inc., in September 2022. Over the next 12 months, Yulu planned to use the funds to expand its fleet of Electric Vehicles (EVs) to more than one lakh two-wheelers and add 500 or more Battery Charging and Swapping Stations.
