While Sanjay Pugalia has stepped down as president of Quint Digital Media, The Quint claims the veteran writer will 'remain as friend, advisor and mentor' to the staff. According to Exchange4media, Quint Digital Media Limited president and editorial director Sanjay Pugalia has resigned. Quint Digital Media is the parent company of the digital news sites Quint and Bloomberg Quint. He has "wished his very best to the Quint team and will continue as friend, advisor, and mentor" to, the firm notified the Bombay Stock Exchange on September 16 that he has resigned from his position as president. Previously, he was editor-in-chief of CNBC Awaaz and had worked for Aaj Tak, Star News, Zee News, Times Group, and Business Standard,  It's still unclear why Pugalia left. In 2016, Pugalia became a member of the Quint team.  After leaving Network18, Raghav Bahl and Ritu Kapur started The Quint, an Indian general news and opinion website in English and Hindi. Press freedom awards include three Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards and two Red Ink Awards for the publication's writers and editors. In October 2018, the Income Tax Department of India searched The Quint's offices and Raghav Bahl's home in connection with a suspected case of tax fraud; the Income Tax authorities called the raid a survey.
