Samsung and Viettel started 5G Commercial Trials in Vietnam

Samsung Electronics and Viettel have announced that the companies have started 5G commercial trials in the largest city of Vietnam, Da Nang. The trial is being done with the help of Samsung’s advanced 5G solutions. Viettel has the telecommunication infrastructure covering almost 97% of the total population in the country, with an aim to digitize society. With these commercial trials, Viettel is on its way to becoming the first 5G service in Vietnam.

Currently, 11 provinces of Vietnam have 5G Viettel coverage. People in these areas are using 5G for free with unlimited capacity on multiple devices. 

The trials are being done with the help of the latest 4G and 5G solutions of Samsung. The latest baseband unit of Samsung offers improved performance with the industry-leading capacity while supporting 4G and 5G technologies.
