News Synopsis

South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly working with tech giant Google again to create the next second-generation Tensor SoC that will be supported by the next Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

Samsung is working with Google to develop the Tensor 2 SoC, and the South Korean technology giant will start mass production of Google's second-generation Tensor chipset on the 4nm process from June, GizmoChina reported, citing Naver News.

The Tensor 2 chip will power the Pixel 7 series, which will be released in October. Please note that Samsung Electronics also manufactured the first generation Tensor chips used in the Pixel 6 series. It will also power the Pixel 6a, which will be available in July.

Samsung has already provided Google with DRAM and NAND flash components, as well as the chipsets used in Waymo's self-driving cars. The company is also said to be in talks with Google to develop chips for additional applications such as Google's server processors.
