Russian Forces Tightened Their Grip on Sievierodonetsk

News Synopsis
Russian troops have strengthened their grip on the city of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine and blocked the last route for civilians to evacuate, Ukrainian officials said on Monday-last month's attack on Mariupol in Moscow.
During the massive bombing of Russia, regional governor Sergei Gaidai told social media that all bridges in the city had been destroyed, making it impossible to bring in humanitarian cargo or evacuate civilians.
"The battles are so fierce that fighting across a single skyscraper, not just a street, can last for days," Gaidai said earlier. He is the governor of the Luhansk region, including Sievierodonetsk.
He said Russian bombardment struck the Azot chemical plant, where hundreds of civilians had been evacuated. "There are about 500 civilians left in the Azot plant in Sievierodonetsk, 40 of whom are children. Sometimes the military manages to evacuate someone," he said.
