In a surprising announcement, Roman Abramovic, owner of one of the most successful English football clubs Chelsea said that he is planning to sell his club. The Russian billionaire said it is an incredibly difficult decision that is immensely painful for him. Mr. Abramovic also informed that the capital will be donated to the war victims. According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, Billionaire Hansjorg Wyss has been contacted to buy the football club. Mr. Wyss said that fearing sanctions considered in the Parliament, the Russian Oligarch wants to sell the club as soon as possible. According to sources Mr. Roman Abramovich has close ties with Russian President  Vladimir Putin. According to the British Media company, BBC the Russian billionaire is valuing his club at 3 billion pounds. In his statement, the Russian owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich said: "I have always taken decisions with the club's best interest at heart. In the current situation, I have therefore taken the decision to sell the club, as I believe this is in the best interest of the club, the fans, the employees, as well as the club's sponsors and partners. The sale of the club will not be fast-tracked but will follow due process. I will not be asking for any loans to be repaid. I have instructed my team to set up a charitable foundation where all net proceeds from the sale will be donated. The foundation will be for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine."
