News Synopsis

The production-ready version of the Rimac C_Two concept was just released, which is remarkably similar to the concept version of the car. The concept version was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018. The car which is officially named Nevera is packed with a 120kwh battery pack that powers four electric motors.

The combined power of the motors is 1888 bhp which can propel the car from standstill to 100kmph just in 1.85 seconds. The car takes 0.5 seconds quicker than the upcoming Tesla Roadster. The car is also able to touch the speed of 415kmph, making it the fastest accelerating production car in the world.

Rimac also claimed that the company has worked on improving the cooling system of the battery pack for three years. It also claimed that after this the car will be able to run faster for a longer period of time than expected.

The car also has the world’s first “steer by wire” system, which has seven driving modes including artificial intelligence, a bevvy of sensors, cameras and radars that will offer aural and visual guidance to the driver. Rimac is planning to produce only 150 of these cars currently.
