'Reliance Creates 2.32 Lakh employment in FY22'

According to the company's integrated annual report, Reliance Industries added 2.32 lakh jobs in FY 2021–2022 to bring its overall labour count to 3.43 lakh at the end of FY22. For the fiscal year 2021–2022, Reliance reported a 47 percent increase in revenues to Rs. 792,756 crore and a 26.2 percent increase in net profit to Rs. 67,845 crore.

Reliance Industries crossed the $100 billion revenue threshold for the first time in India in FY22. JioGenNext, a startup incubator programme from Reliance Industry, has assisted 170 firms since 2014 that have earned more over Rs 2,600 crore in early-stage venture financing. As many as 12,153 applications from startups and aspiring business owners have been submitted to the programme.
 

Over Rs 2,600 crore in early-stage venture financing has been raised by the startup alumni, according to Reliance's report. The company created JioGenNext to support businesses in their early stages, RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani stated in a note to the shareholders. The largest digital services platform in India and the telecom arm of Reliance, Jio, has completed its 100% domestically developed 5G coverage strategy for the top 1,000 cities.

Ambani also anticipated its green power segment to become a growth engine for the company that might potentially outperform other businesses in the next 5-7 years. According to Ambani, the telecom-to-energy conglomerate, which has a market capitalization of Rs 17.45 lakh crore and is India's most valuable company, made significant advancements in 2021–2022 in its retail, telecom, energy, and digital businesses. He also stated that digital services, retail, and oil–to–chemicals (O2C) are its three "extremely agile and highly potent growth engines".

One of India's major financial donors to the government offers is Reliance. Reliance's combined tax payment to the government increased by 38.8%, from Rs 135,468 crore in FY21 to Rs 188,012 crore in FY22. This represented 5.4 percent of the government's planned spending of Rs 34.83 lakh crore for FY22. - In FY2021-22, Reliance Group added 2.32 lakh jobs. Out of this, 168,910 new retail employment and 57,883 new Jio jobs were created. Top management from RIL, including B. Srinivasan, president and chief of staff, Rohit Bansal, group head of communications, and Shailesh Kumar, chief data scientist at Jio, serve as the program's mentors.
