Reliance's fashion brand, Reliance Brands (RBL) has announced a joint venture with the fashion designer Rahul Mishra. The joint venture will include the fashion designer’s ready-to-wear business and will create a new brand with the designer as the creative director.

Reliance Brands is planning its expansion by partnering up with domestic designers struck by the pandemic. The fashion brands lack the finances to expand their operations and look forward to partnering up with huge retail houses like Reliance and ABFRL

RBL has also invested in the fashion brands and businesses owned by the veteran designers like Manish Malhotra and Ritu Kumar. The company has also made an equity investment in the fashion brand of Raghvendra Rathore’s company.

The business rival, ABFRL has acquired stakes in brands of Indian design houses such as Jaypore, Shantanu and Nikhil, Tarun Tahiliani, and Sabyasachi

Reliance Brands began its operations in 2007, has 680 stores and 916 shop-in-shops in India. aIt also sells brands like Armani Exchange, Bally, Bottega Venta, Burberry, Canali, Coach, Diesel, Dune, Emporio Armani, Ermenegildo Zegna and Gas.
