Reddit Adds Search Comments to Improve Search Results

News Synopsis
The online discussion forum Reddit has improved the search results for over 50 million users per day by adding the ability to search for comments for the first time. This latest update is first exposed to desktop users and can be accessed by going to your home feed and clicking the search bar to search.
With this new feature, users looking for a particular discussion or comment on Reddit no longer have to click on multiple posts and sometimes scroll through thousands of comments to find the relevant thread. With this new feature, "Redditors" can comment directly on the search and further refine the search by searching for comments in a specific community.
Based on user feedback, it'll prioritize posts over other content types in our updated search design, simplifying the results page and making it easier for users to skim through the results and find what they're looking for, the company said. The team is also working to make the search safer for all users by reducing the number of unexpected results based on the intent of the searcher.
Everything on Reddit is now available to search, users, posts, communities, and now comments, making it one of the first platforms with this capability.
