Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 14th BRICS Summit to be held in China through virtual media. The Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that on the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Modi will also participate in a high-level dialogue on global development with visiting countries on June 24, besides the BRICS summit. The conference will be held on 23 and 24 June.

It is worth noting that in the year 2021, the 13th BRICS was hosted by India. In the meeting, digital and technological measures including global development, and terrorism were discussed through the virtual medium with the countries of Brazil, Russia, China, India, and South Africa. This time the summit to be held under the chairmanship of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi Russian, President Jair Bolsonaro, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is also expected to attend.

The theme of this year's summit is promoting high-quality BRICS partnerships, ushering in a new era for global development. In this regard, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said that the leaders of the BRICS countries and the leaders of relevant emerging markets and developing countries will participate in the Global Development in Beijing on June 24. Chinese President Xi Jinping said that talks will be held digitally on the topic of promoting global development partnerships to build a new era for jointly implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
