News Synopsis

The authorization of the booster dose of Pfizer has been done by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for those people who are 65 and above. It has been authorized for people suffering from severe diseases and also for those who have been in contact with the virus. This change in the vaccine’s use will present boosters for people working in health care, daycare, teachers, grocery workers, people who are homeless and also for people who are at prison. Pfizer has made a demand to the FDA for the expansion of vaccine approval that provides boosters for 16 years of age. The advisory panel on the other hand mentioned that there is not enough proof that would support the booster shots for people 16 years of age. Pfizer has further added that boosters are important for the population in general. The United States made an authorization for extra shots with weak immune systems. The third shot has already been received by over 2 million people as the CDC data presented. Few countries like Britain have already started their campaigns related to providing boosters to people.
