News Synopsis

India’s neighboring rivals- Pakistan and China are expected to sign agreements worth $10 -15 billion to boost bilateral relations and business between the two nations. Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan is on a visit to China. The officials of the Pakistani Government are hopeful to at least receive $10 billion as monetary benefits from its economic partner. These deals will include a rollover of $4 billion deposits, a fresh loan of $4 billion, and other agreements. Both nations’ ambitious multibillion-dollar project, Mainline-1(ML-1), is however significantly delayed as they didn’t arrive at a final agreement regarding financial terms. Both Pakistan and China have been economic partners for a long time. China has made a significant contribution to the development of Pakistan and has completed several projects for bilateral benefits including the dream project of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
