News Synopsis

A day before this year’s Mother’s Day,

clean and plant-based holistic wellness brand, OZiva, in order to support new mothers ,rolled out its new employee policy.

The new employee policy

gives a work from home option for mothers with children up to the age of 3 years. After the new employee policy, Aarti Gill, Co-Founder, OZiva said, " One of the main concerns that I have heard from women is having to manage their babies while ensuring that they are able to meet their work commitments. Sometimes it’s due to the lack of support and at times it’s the stress of managing home with work. More often than not they end up choosing to take a break from their career after maternity leave. Almost 50% of our workforce are women and 58% of leadership positions are held by women. With this policy, we hope that they don't have to choose between their career and family."

Multiple types of research and surveys indicated that working mothers face difficulties returning to work after a maternity break. From being discriminated against at work to finding it difficult to manage time, they are often subjected to high levels of stress
