Nicole Oliveira Could Be The World’s Youngest Astronomer

An 8 years old girl from Brazil, named Nichole Oliveira can be the world’s youngest astronomer. The young girl participated in a project called Asteroid Hunters. The program includes activities like looking at the pictures of the sky at night and spot possible figures that can be asteroids. Nichole has supposedly found 18 asteroids, but the confirmation about them really being there is yet to be done. 

According to Nichole’s parents, she has always been interested in space and stars. When Nichole asked for a telescope on her 4th birthday, they were sure of her passion for space and decided to support her. Nichole participates in a project called, Asteroids Hunters, which introduces young minds to science. The project is in association with NASA. If the presence of asteroids is confirmed then Nichole will be the next youngest astronomer taking the claim from Luigi Sannino.
