News Synopsis

Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil the third-generation Dzire in India, following the successful launch of the new Swift earlier this year in May. The Dzire, which has evolved from being perceived as a mere extension of the Swift to a standalone model, is anticipated to attract attention in the compact sedan segment. With its official launch scheduled for November 11, recent spy shots of the new Dzire have emerged, showcasing its design and features.

Design Enhancements of the New-Gen Dzire

The latest spy images reveal that Maruti Suzuki has undertaken a significant redesign of the upcoming Dzire.

Exterior Design

At the forefront of this redesign is a revamped front fascia, featuring a new grille adorned with the iconic Suzuki logo. This grille is flanked by sleek LED headlamps, which incorporate LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and turn indicators. The fog lamps are nestled within a glossy black bezel, adding a touch of elegance to the front profile. The overall grille and air dam are seamlessly integrated into a blacked-out assembly with horizontal slats, contributing to a sporty appearance.

Moving to the side profile, the Dzire showcases a prominent shoulder line accentuated by metal-finished window sills. The addition of brand-new dual-tone alloy wheels further enhances its appeal. Notably, the Dzire will feature a single-panel sunroof, adding an element of luxury to the compact sedan experience. At the rear, the new Y-shaped LED taillamps, combined with a slim metal strip above them, give the Dzire a robust and modern look.

Interior Features and Layout

The interior of the new-gen Dzire is expected to mirror that of the latest Swift, boasting a modern and functional layout.

Infotainment System

Central to the interior is a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, which will be a highlight for tech-savvy drivers. For those opting for lower variants, a 7-inch touchscreen unit will be available. This infotainment system is anticipated to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, providing seamless connectivity for users.

Instrument Cluster and Additional Features

The new Dzire will feature a semi-digital instrument cluster with a multi-information display, ensuring drivers have easy access to essential data. Other expected features include a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera for enhanced parking assistance, and electrically foldable and adjustable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs).

Safety Features

In terms of safety, the new Dzire is set to include an impressive array of features aimed at ensuring passenger protection. Key safety components will comprise six airbags, hill-hold assist, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a reverse parking camera, and standard safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). These enhancements are aimed at bolstering the Dzire’s reputation as a safe and reliable choice in the compact sedan market.

Powertrain Specifications

Under the hood, the new Dzire will be powered by the familiar 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine sourced from the Swift.

Performance Metrics

This engine is capable of producing 81 bhp and 111.7 Nm of peak torque, ensuring a smooth and responsive driving experience. In line with the Swift, the Dzire will be offered with two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

CNG Variant

In a strategic move to cater to environmentally conscious consumers, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce a CNG variant of the Dzire soon after its initial launch. This option is expected to enhance the model’s appeal in a market increasingly focused on sustainability and cost-effective driving solutions.

Conclusion

As the launch date of November 11 approaches, the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is generating significant anticipation among automotive enthusiasts and potential buyers alike. With its complete design overhaul, modern interior features, comprehensive safety measures, and a robust powertrain, the Dzire is poised to solidify its position in the competitive compact sedan segment. As Maruti Suzuki continues to innovate and respond to market demands, the new Dzire promises to deliver a blend of style, performance, and practicality, catering to the evolving needs of Indian consumers.
