Popular OTT platform Netflix and the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting have joined hands to honor unique real-life stories of extraordinary individuals through a series of inspiring short videos named 'Azadi Ki Amrit Kahaniyan'. On Tuesday, 'Azadi Ki Amrit Kahaniyan' was launched in the presence of Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting as India celebrates its rich history of people, culture, and achievements with the nation ready to mark 75 years of independence. At this event, Netflix’s  Global Head of TV, Bela Bajaria, said, "Great stories can come from anywhere and are ever so inspiring when they are about people who rise against the odds. In partnership with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Azadi Ki Amrit Kahaniyan focuses on celebrating remarkable individuals and their stories that can inspire people in India and around the world."

These short videos are narrated by the Bollywood actress Neena Gupta. These short videos capture the exceptional journey of these individuals and how they become the very best in their respective fields, varying from science to sports. These videos are available on the social media platform of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Doordarshan.
